Welcome Back, Your Dreams Are Your Ticket Out

Well, we have returned from spring break to face 3 more weeks of instruction before standardized testing (better known as PACT) begins. I started the week off well with a 24 hour bug that left me wishing I was dead. And then I thought I had died and gone to hell on Tuesday when I found out I was to attend a sales presentation for a new interactive whiteboard at 9:30 and then a second one at 12:00. Apparantly SmartBoard is confident in it's position as the number one interactive whiteboard in the world because their presenter for lack of a better word sucked.
The Promethian Board presentation was much better. Still not sure which one to go with because I was drugged at the time so some of what I saw might have been a hallucination.
So Wednesday was my first official day back and what a hoot! My classroom had been completely rearranged by maintenance over the break, but I kind of liked it so I left it that way and made the kids think I did it on purpose. But on the minus side, they were buck wild that day. It took them until today to finally begin to settle into a semblance of school children (instead of zoo animals).
I am going to become queen of the universe someday and outlaw all Easter Candy to middle school children before 3 pm.
Anyway, I feel like I'm just getting back into the swing of things and it is Thursday.
